To generate awareness and help dispel misinformation about the COVID-19 vaccination, the Chicago Department of Public Health needed an innovative take on how to share accurate information about the COVID-19 vaccination and create a sense of unity. Our fresh idea: Vax*CHI*Nation.

Leadership in Multicultural

With underserved communities and people of color disproportionately impacted by the pandemic, we focused our efforts on reinforcing Chicago’s equitable access strategy. Our goal was to galvanize Chicagoans to get vaccinated and join the Vax*CHI*Nation movement.

Optimal Engagement

The IMC campaign included PR, social media, community activations, and advertising and penetrated the city’s 77 neighborhoods with a concentrated focus on hyperlocal, grassroots engagement.

Winning Outcomes

We achieved the city’s goal of having 77% of Chicagoans receive at least one dose of the vaccine a month ahead of schedule.
